Unification is good if it isn’t under the conditions the mainland wants. Instead, the mainland should become an actual democracy like Taiwan is. Taiwan does everything better than the mainland whether it is democracy, queer rights etc. Hell, Taiwan is even more left that the mainland despite the mainland claiming to be communist and Taiwan claiming to be a liberal democracy.
Why I don’t disagree I prefer Taiwan over China, I don’t believe either should enforce their will onto the other and I don’t think we’re in the position to be a definite voice on what they should do.
Taiwan is still officially the Republic of China, and both the PRC and ROC claim the entirety of each other.
