On the first day of trial, Trump appointee Judge Pittman preemptively declared a mistrial, suspending the jury selection process and delaying the start of trial.
We are left to wonder if the seemingly sympathetic jury and the large show of support outside the courthouse influenced the judge’s rash decision.
