UBI indirectly solves income inequality. If no one needs to work just to survive, it becomes very difficult to exploit workers (which is the only way to build obscene wealth).

I worry about govt’s misusing it. I’m still a big UBI fan, but after seeing it employed in Captain Laserhawk, it made me aware of how it can be a cudgel of a corrupt govt as well.

    Ideological-oversimplifications lead to sloppy laws:

    serial-murderers are “contributing” how??

incorporated-sociopathy, & its pushers, are “contributing” how?

highjackers-of-gov’t-for-ideological-supremacism are “contributing” to our country how?

I agree that supporting the people at the bottom is more important, but in the 7+years I’ve racked-up as a homeless person, there are one hell of alot of people who get a kick from harming others in this world, & I don’t want them subsidized.

( I’m including abusive institutions, btw, not just street people )

    The title is oversimplification.
