    Unfortunately, too many of us have grandmas that share the kind of memes that don’t exactly compare to macaroni stick figures.

    1990s: “Grandma, look! It’s you made out of macaroni!”

    2020s: “Grandson, look. This is proof that Obama is a space alien preparing the planet for enslavement.”

    When I was a kid my grandfather would share farside comics with me. Now I show my grandfather farside “memes”.

    It’s a bit depressing though isn’t it? Like lying to be nice?

    Nothing in this world is simple but I’d prefer encouragement even if it isn’t that sugarcoated.

      It’s sincere.

      In the first instance the parent is encouraging their kid to refine their motor skills and improve their dexterity.

      In the second instance the grown up kid is welcoming their parent into today’s lucky 10,000.
