So, Last year I lost my vintage computers (most of them a work in progress) in a house fire. I’ve started rebuilding my collection. I’ve got my TI-83+ still, I consider that to be one. It was with me when the fire happened, and I have an old windows 95 computer I got my hands on, still not sure what to do with him yet. Ideas on projects/places to go next. Would love to find something reliable that can takes datasets, but is reasonably priced.

Holy cow that’s terrible. What you end up collecting is really a very personal decision. You can focus on a time era, a specific architecture, an OS, a manufacturer. What are you interested in?

Honestly, I’m interested in 8 bit, I’ve played with other stuff and it seems to familiar. The NABU mentioned was a lot of fun in the emulator last night. I want something I might learn some asm on. The commodore was a strong condenser until last night, that’s for sure.

EDIT: also, yes, fires are aweful. Don’t recommend them. They mean dealing with… Insurance… Banks… Other evils.
