I think it’s a worth while effort. I know they burnt a lot of good will in the past but they are a major contributor to the Linux mobile effort. We shouldn’t rely on IBM for everything.
I’m not well informed on this topic. How did they burn good will? And right now IBM is putting most of the development work into this OS?
Long story short they burnt good will buy pre selling Linux phones with a “no questions asked” refund policy. The phone was delayed for literal years and they changed the refund policy such that you couldn’t really get a refund. People were rightfully upset.
IBM/Redhat do the lion share of Linux development.
