Match fitness and possibly testing out our cup squad?

Happy to see ESR cook, I really hope he doesn’t leave and gets a chance to fight for a place on the team

Would love to see ESR become an important part of the first team too. But I think that might be wishful thinking.

I know it’s just sentimentality and us being more ruthless with players is a good thing when it comes to challenging for honours but the thought of ESR playing for another team honestly makes me feel sick.

I hear ya. But the lad’s gotta play, and I’m not sure there are minutes for him in our first team. Would hate to see him sit on the bench for another season.

Oh without a doubt and I want him to hit that potential anywhere if there isn’t a place for him here but I’m convinced he can do a job for us.

He might still get the chance. Depending on how pre-season pans out and if we don’t get significant increases on the bids he might still be an Arsenal player when the season kicks off. He’s still got 2 years on his current deal right, so they don’t have to rush this.
