My writing is Ohio at best.
O - Ordinary and tired plotlines.
H - Hardly any variety in vocabulary.
I - Isn’t your best effort .
O - Offensive to anyone with any sense of taste.Y’all motherfuckers been reading my fanfics, huh?
So corny?
Let’s make one for reading comprehension:
- Take your time and read the whole thing.
- Observe the central points.
- Investigate the context.
- Let assumptions go away.
- Examine the overall discourse.
- Take your conclusions.
Gotta admit, that’s pretty creative.
And the kids are rolling their eyes at it. Skibidi is no longer cool.
All I can think is that it has a very…
… feel to it.
Absolutely, lol.
I dunno, I think it’s a bit more clever and less desperate than that. The teacher knows the kids are saying it a lot. Getting them to even lightly associate it with their learning objectives will help at least some kids academically. Mnemonics are stronger when they are memorable and repeatable after all.
There is no way the teacher thinks this will make learning “cool”. And the fact that co-opting it speeds up the process that skibidi will become “uncool” is probably just a fringe benefit to the teacher. Really, it’s a masterclass in psychology, a win-win.
I have coined the term hifellowkidsing when I struggle and fail to relate to teens. As in “I heard the neighbor kid loudly bumping what sounded like Eminem so I totally hifellowkidsed him and asked whether or not it was. He rolled his eyes and ignored me”. My only comfort is I was a horrible snot at that age, so I have karmically earned every belabored sigh and humiliated grimace.
It was never cool
Heh, my generation’s slang seems so boring compared to other generation’s. Rad, Totally, Awesome, etc. The words were almost straight out of a dictionary. Earlier in the century it was Cool Cat, bee’s knees, dogs, flippers, speakeasy, but as we approach Gen X it gets mundane. Now we’ve got weird shit every influencer and Vtuber tries to make stick so they have a “thing” to stand out with.
There’s some difference.
So you have the slang that’s akin to “Rad”. Words used with sincerity to communicate. “Rizz” and “Sus” fall into this category and seem pretty ‘mundane’, shortening Charisma and Suspicious.
Skibidi is a bit different. It’s more like that generations “Wazzzzzzzuuuuuuuup?” It’s something they themselves consider “just stupid to say”.
That’s so callmekevin of u
I’m feelin a lil callmekevin 2day I can’t go 2 school mum
This is actually great. Keep 'em engaged.
My writing has its gyatt out for the rizzler.
🤢
The word “skibidi” makes me roll my eyes. Every generation has their own slang, though, so whatever.
fr fr, no cap
Skibidi toilet is a gmod/SFM series. This isn’t zoomer culture, it’s millenial culture. It’s zoomers appreciating our culture.
No. Just because it uses GMod to make doesn’t mean it belongs to millenials. The first video was released in February 2023. That’s definitely gen z/alpha thing.
Have you varied the kinds of sentences you use?
That’s rich coming from someone who can only write questions.
Gen alpha is cooked
Were we any better aa kids?
Yes, actually.
We didn’t have Internet
Speak for yourself lol, gen Z absolutely had the internet as kids. So did millennials
We didn’t need the internet to like and do dumb shit.
Nah I mean no one was documenting it, and this we are safe from scrutiny. Good luck trying to figure out Dad’s VHS tapes, gen alpha!
juvenoia
This belongs in a toilet. In a good way.
Nah, my writing is sigma.
Seriously Indisputably Gross Mistyped and Absurd
Yeah well mine is ALPHA
A - incorrect
L - bad
P - trash
H - garbage
A - accessible
golf clap
So the last ‘I’ suggests that your writing should be possible to improve later.
Despite being the ‘B’ Best Effort and properly ‘I’ Investigated.Seems like, after putting your best effort into making it, you need to put in extra effort to make it such that it is imperfect, so as to leave room for improvements.
That B, I and I are basically the same thing reworded three ways so they can spell the word.
Don’t mog me, I’m mewing
I honestly don’t have a clue what you’re saying.
In all seriousness… Skibidi toilet is probably one of the egregious examples of brain rot in our society. Gen alpha is truly cooked.
Yeah, ok. Badger badger mushroom mushroom. My spoon is too big, my anus is bleeding. Charlieeee, the magical leoplurodon charlieeee.
Every generation has this nonsense. Don’t pretend we didn’t.
I’m trying to remember the brainrot memes from my childhood but I can’t because I am le tired
Take a nap AND ZEN REMEMBER ZEE BRAIN ROT!
AAAAAH MOTHERLAND!
Look at him now disappearing a cow Marjory Stewart-Baxter, you taste like sunshine dust Godzilla took a bite out of Optimus Prime Like Scruff McGruff took a bite out of crime we are here to protect you from the terrible secret of space
skibidi ain’t got nothing on the Newgrounds / Something Awful brainrot.
Something Awful led me to Goonswarm.
Am0k. is recruiting.

It is pretty interesting to see the viral videos of 16+ years ago and how they’re both similar and different to what makes the rounds today. I’m sure there’s video essays and retrospectives that would do a better job of analyzing them than me but I’m just here to link the originals. Cheers.
True, we cooked too.
Yeah, ok. Badger badger mushroom mushroom. My spoon is too big, my anus is bleeding. Charlieeee, the magical leoplurodon charlieeee.
Can you explain this?
Oops meant to reply to you, see above comment I linked everything
I’VE GOT A BIG BAG OF CRABS~
At least skibidi is a quasi commentary on stuff. As opposed to salad fingers or the quiznos rats. (I know salad fingers has actual deeper lore)
I grew up on most of the examples you quoted. They’re Emmy award winning masterpieces compared to Skibidi Toilet.
“The past is better because I’m used to it”
Did I get that right?
Its true, that why we all still watch Mannix.
To be fair, dragosta din tei is an absolute banger, but I’m not sure if the numa numa dance video classifies as brain rot.
Nah, that was our Tiktok.
ok mr. what does the fox say
Don’t forget happy tree friends, Charlie the unicorn, anything on ebaumsworld and newgrounds. Millennial humor really isn’t better.
It’s a millennial meme. Gmod edits have been around for years and years. Gen alpha unearthing and worshipping it because they don’t understand is weird but not exactly new.
Now making a movie about it directed by Michael Bay? That’s true Hollywood brain rot.
Nah, it’s definitely a Gen-Alpha/Z meme. Millenials were more Badgers and Mushrooms sort of memes.
Yes, G-Mod is the medium for this, but this specific thing is new.
And Michael Bay I guess felt he must outshine the emoji movie…
Yes, G-Mod is the medium for this, but this specific thing is new.
Gmod surrealism is older than the kids that watch skibidi toilet.
Didn’t say that the concept of absurdist G-Mod stuff is new, it’s that the singular specific “skibidi toilet” thing is new.
When I said not exactly new I was trying to refer to gmod surrealism memes but I didn’t find the words yet. I was under the impression that skibidi toilet was at least a few years old but I guess not.
Too be fair perhaps were just getting old and the world is changing to become unfamiliar to what we used to. This is probably what the boomers thought of us I bet. It’s just funny how every generation seem to hate the next one.
my writing is usually toilet.
But skibidi means bad.
No, it really doesn’t mean anything tbh. It’s like saying my writing is Badger Badger.
It’s like saying my writing is [insert annoying Crazy Frog gibberish noises]
My writing is more Babobeh-bopbopahdop-babababa Babedi-babobeh-babopbedop-bababapi Babedi-babobeh-popbopbedop-babobeh Bopbopbedop-babobeh-popbopbedop-bababababehdi
W-w-what’s going on-on
I have a middle schooler. Skibidi means bad.
But bad, as everyone surely knows, means good.
Both bad and good mean skibidi.
Not necessarily.
Yeah, but it doesn’t matter.
“Is your writing bad?”
Still gets the point across.
I find this statement to be pretty yeet.
