This is why I will confront anti-vaxxers in public.

Nearly 200 children died from influenza-related complications in the 2023-24 season, according to the CDC. Most of these children were eligible for a vaccine but did not receive one. The CDC reported that only 53% of children aged 6 months to 17 years were vaccinated this season, down from 56% the previous season. Vaccination rates were notably lower among Black children and those in rural areas.

I’m sure they’ll find some crazy conspiracy to blame for it, other than accepting that their idiocy killed their kids. What a shame.

I’m sure some of these deaths are kids that couldn’t get vaccinated (immunocompromised, allergy to eggs, etc.).

But the majority…yeah, parents killing their children because they believed a Facebook post over their doctor.

Most of the 199 total children who died from the virus were eligible for a vaccine but did not receive one.

    The parents killed these children.

I can imagine the antivaxxers see this and pin it on literally anything else than their own ignorance and stupidity by not believing in real science.

Kid dies from easily preventable disease

Antivaxxer: Well, even if they did die at 2 years old, they at least didn’t die because they got the vaccine! They didn’t get to poison my precious crotch goblin!
