A rather nice looking Proton Experimental update went live on June 24th, so here's a run over what to expect on Steam Deck and Linux desktop.

It is very fragile. Its part of the reason I normally stick to games that do not require third-party launchers.

EA App is garbage, even on Windows. Making it work at all on Linux is a remarkable feat in engineering.

I used to play EA Games on Windows and I always had problems with EA’s shitty launcher.

So the EA app works but that doesn’t mean games using EAC such as battlefield 2042 work, right?

Correct. This is just for the app and not necessarily the games within the app.
