Honda’s presence in the electric two-wheeler space has long been limited to one-off scooters and bikes. But all that is set to change with the Japanese maker unveiling a performance electric motorcycle called the EV Fun Concept at this year’s EICMA motorcycle trade show.

In what way are they not for cities? I think that’s what they’re best at.

Cars don’t make sense in a well-built city, you can walk or take a train and they scale much better. Electric motorbikes are five figures, which is waaay too expensive. Buy a motorscooters or ebike, either would be just as good.

Motorbikes are great in car-centric cities, but that’s because car-centric cities are failed urban-design abominations. It’s like building a city without stairs/elevators and then claiming jetpacks are practical.

I cannot speak for you but literally everywhere I’ve ever lived or visited is a car-centric city where a motorcycle does extremely well.

So while eMotos may not be ideal for your utopic scenario, in real life they work very well.
