My understanding is that this will help ports in Romania, as prior to this trucking companies shipping goods from Romanian ports to elsewhere in the Schengen Area had unpredictable and sometimes lengthy delay, so hopefully there are also economic benefits to Romania and logistic benefits to Europe in general.
