At least Britain solved its issue with migrants … not:

Since Britain left the EU, migration has been at the highest levels since records began; while key sectors face staffing shortages.

I looked into this, and it seems that nowadays UK is getting lots of educated immigrants from India and a few other countries. Racists are obviously going to hate seeing so many foreign faces and hearing foreign languages, so in that regard Brexit has failed. That was the whole point, wasn’t it? To make Britain white again?

Anyway, having educated people should still have a positive impact on the economy as a whole, although that might not be enough to mitigate the damage inflicted on other areas of society.

That’s hardly a benefit of brexit though, is it? Educated people from India, or elsewhere were always welcome. From what I gather the largest surge right now is from dependants. The educated Indian will bring his family, while the educated (of not) German would not.

Well that’s a depressing read. And a surprise to no one who voted remain.

Why are so many people so determined to repeatedly shoot ourselves in the collective foot?

Zuckerberg and Thiel played non trivial role. I.e. precisely targeted brainwashing.

And Russian disinformation no doubt as this certainly plays into Putin’s goal of destabilising the West.

They mention the trade deals that the UK will have all over the world as a benefit yet they ignore that you need something like 7 US trade deals to make up for the loss in EU trade and the UK already had trade deals with most of the rest of the world through the EU, so the potential upside in a new deal is rather small.

But the telegraph supported brexit so I’m not surprised.
