Just wait until you hear what trump just tweeted about the jews…

I mean, he didn’t, but you were already prepared to say to yourself “Oh god, what NOW???”

Mostly because him, and controversial shit are just on brand for him. Like I could say he reverse pardoned the central park 5. That’s where you force a conviction even if the crime isn’t true.

And some people would believe me. And a reverse pardon isn’t even a thing. And even if it was, he doesn’t take oath until tomorrow.

Some people could still believe me. That’s just how shitty of a person he’s historically been, and how often he’s been shitty, that you could make up any obviously false claims, and it would still seem plausible.

I like to think I’m not any more gullible than anyone else, but every time I’ve heard something horrible from the orange convict, it’s beyond preposterous and somehow even worse than I was dreading. Yes, I’m prepared to hear and believe even worse. Yes, I can no longer enjoy political comedy because reality is more ridiculous

Actually that would have genuinely suprised me considering how much Trump shills for jews and Israel.

I thought so too, but then reading the article actually made it a bit less racist than initial thoughts. They had been celebrating Lee in January a good 70 years before MLKJ got his day in January. Still racist, but I can see politicians being like “fuck it. We’re not having two holidays a week apart from each other”.

Also, wouldn’t it be just as upsetting to racists in support of Lee as it is to non racists in support of MLKJ?

Funny, I’d have thought that celebrating a failed insurrectionist leader who fought for slavery is racist, regardless of how long they’d been doing it.
