I miss the feature in reddit (on desktop) that would let you go back by clicking in the empty space on the left margin. Anyone know of a fix?
- There’s alternative front ends like Nemmy and Alexandrite. One of them might do what you want. - Yes! Alexandrite is precisely what I was looking for, thank you!

- deleted by creator - I do have the side buttons, they’re set to automate control and shift though. I use them pretty often, so not much chance of changing that anytime soon… - My g502 mouse would solve this problem, but it is at home. 😕

- Hello there, and welcome to our community! I hope you like it in here. - Could you please paraphrase your post title as a question? It’s our first rule. Thank you :) - Done, sorry about the mistake!

- I miss it too. - That’s a UI thing. Lemmy UI does no such thing. So there’s no user-fix. - You could hack it in through code injection or a contribution to the Lemmy project though, or create a feature request. - Reddit loaded a post within-page. Lemmy loads a new page for the post specifically. A back navigation would not be too much effort. Changing to a in-page load would go against Lemmy’s current UI approach. - Look into Alexandrite if you’re interested. It does what I was asking.
- I wish I knew how to hack some code in, that would be badass! Looks like a feature request will be the best route for me. Thanks.
