This might make me give up as well. I’ve been a Premium subscriber, but only use YouTube (not the music and other stuff).

I hate ads and wanted to support a business model that didn’t have them. From what I read, it was better than the ad revenue for creators as well (but it’s possible I heard wrong, I don’t know).

But YouTube rabbit holes are not good and I spend too much time watching stuff I don’t really need to watch. Did I really need to spend 2 hours watching videos on the inner workings of dishwashers? Or reviews on dozens of Android phones, when I’ve never owned one and have no plans to?

If I get rid of Premium I have a feeling I will also delete the app from my phone and TV. Maybe I’ll throw a channel or two in my RSS reader if I really want to keep up on them. That sounds healthier than being ruled by the algorithm.
