Telling people with eating disorders that everything’s fine is even worse. Also, if your friend eats properly and works out they’re not fat, they’re heavy, noone is making fun of those. They might not let you into the club tomorrow.

“Fat” means high body fat percentage, not just “weighs a lot”.
People with lots of muscle are categorized as obese with the regular BMI formulas, but that obviously doesn’t apply to them.
