The only reason to worship efficiency is if you plan to siphon out value. I’m all for fighting corruption though.

Yeah that’s fine for a shitty website, but exponentially worse when it comes to keeping airplanes in the sky.
It’s almost like efficiency is a low priority for government services. Resiliency (often due to redundancy) is far more important.
The only reason to worship efficiency is if you plan to siphon out value.
I’m all for fighting corruption though.
And THAT is why you don’t “run the government like a business”
I’d argue efficiency in business also only benefits those trying to siphon off value that could be better directed to workers and customers.
