IIRC, Wedel was bought out by Cadbury, who are now part of Mondelez, a US company
To my own surprise (I pass their factory few times a week) - not any more.
In June 2010, Kraft Foods Inc sold Wedel to Lotte Group, a South Korean-Japanese conglomerate, as part of their enforced divestment program of certain parts of the Cadbury plc, which it had acquired in March 2010.
Being Polish I can’t recommend it. I never liked it. The only good version is made by Milka, but that would defy the point.
