What has been taking up your time this week?
Something new or something from your never ending backlog make sure you share it with us here!
- I’ve joined every other Steam user in playing Dave the Diver. Lovely. - From what I’ve seen of this it looks like a fantastic game with some awesome mechanics. - I can’t get enough of it. - It’s fun, mechanics are great, despite the fact they show me up for how shite my aim is! Boss fight are also decent so far.

- If you’ve got a new computer (at least an Intel 386, with a Sound Blaster compatible card, and a fully-up-to-date DOS), you could do no worse than check out this year’s new releases at DosHaven . - Maybe make sure no-one wants to use the phone for a bit before you download though. - Sound Blaster. That’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time

- Trying to get to grips with how to use Wordpress. I was told it would be dead easy by a friend (I used blogger before) but it’s a little bit overwhelming! - Still seem to have got somewhere with it at least by now…
- Been playing Techtonica on the Game Pass - it’s been a while since I’ve dreamed about a game, but I kept making factory plans the other night. And - stupidly - I reinstalled Eve Online. Hooray for station trading.
- Been playing Link’s Awakening on the Steam Deck. Halfway there, and SM64R96 is probably next.
- Just waiting for the Tarkov wipe. It’s expected in the next couple of weeks hopefully. - In the meantime I’ve been playing Battlebit, and loving it. Decided to find out what Dawn of War franchise is all about and suddenly many memes make sense. - But by far the most time is spent back on Workers and Resources. One of those games that I call a time machine. One minute you load it up, and the next it’s 5 hours later and you can’t figure out where the time went. - Wipe is confirmed for August according to Nikita on Tarkov TV last week. Could very well drop before then, knowing BSG though. - ‘A couple of weeks’ would be August 😉 - Jesus, it’s that late in the month already?

- Trying to bid and win a Wii U off eBay. This might be the hardest step in setting up a Wii U emulation console.
- The Wandering Village was added to gamepass last week and it is very good. Who doesn’t want to build a settlement on the back of a giant wandering creature that you have to look after while you try and survive! Once you get the hang of it it is quite easy though. - MXGP 2021, it was cheap and I bought it on a whim but I’m enjoying it a lot. I know almost nothing about the sport but the game is challenging in a fun way so far. - Squad still gets played most evenings for a few hours. Think of the Battlefield games before they went to shit and that is what Squad is. - I enjoyed The Wandering Village, but the micromanagement to stop the poison got on my nerves. Should get back to it really. - Yeah the first couple times with the poison was a pain with all the micro but once you get to the giogas and decontaminater it’s much better to deal with.

- Last day of work for me! Off to Crete for two weeks! ( If it hasn’t burnt down 😔)
- Finished Viewpoint the other day. I’d say 3-4 hours total, which is perfect for where I am right now. - And last night I made some headway with Bloodborne, a game that genuinely makes me anxious like no other media property ever has.
- Been playing Remnant 2, enjoying it but it’s brutal playing solo! - Still chipping away at Tears of the Kingdom, it’s an amazing world to lose yourself in. - Also playing the odd game of Vampire Survivors here and there, so damn addictive!
