Also USA is at the center of power where it can do a lot of improvements but choose not to. So it’s natural that USA should bear the brunt of criticism.
I know plenty of european scientists who still refuse to acknowledge that climate change is humanity’s fault.
The American Alt-Right are just particularly vocal about wanting to kill the world. But the general refusal to accept that we have killed this planet is human nature. Humans tend to hate the idea of acknowledging they did anything wrong. Hence “It is America’s fault for not stopping us” being something you genuinely think is a justification.
