There is lots in Bali that is bogan free. I too hate the idea of bogans on holidays. I was quite skeptical of my first Bali trip, but loved it and have been back a few times, most recently with young kids. Even Kuta is quite family oriented these days instead of drunk bogan central.
It’s got a great mix of good weather, cheap, cultural sites and sights, beaches, boozy stuff (if wanted), relaxing forests, volcanic cycling, zoos, butterfly gardens, temples etc. I go to GC or an Fijian island and I’d be bored in comparison.
