Vegas has really fallen off over the last few years; it’s yet another victim of enshittification. It used to be an adult playground where you could go and gamble and carouse to your heart’s content, with free booze, cheap meals, free public spectacle (like the Mirage volcano or the Fremont St. experience), but now everything is so bloody expensive. They are charging $30 - $40 just to park at some of the properties there, there aren’t really any good free shows left, and everything is up-charged. You know the economy’s in shambles when casinos can’t make enough money off of people gambling, and have to subsidize their income by charging outrageous prices for basic hospitality services.
