Good news: a portable version of the LEGO Island decomp just came out, meaning ports to other OSes or devices are now possible.
Hell, there’s even a browser port now, available at https://isle.pizza/. If you wanna learn more about the decomp, check out the video I linked.
Totally cool.
There’s so many old games I want to decomp and/or make more runnable on modern systems and/or make moddable.
I’ve never gotten very far due to lacking the skillset. It can be intimidating starting with nothing but some ancient 32-bit (or heaven forbid 16-bit) windows executable and zero documentation.
But maybe I should try again.
Honestly 16 bit would be easier because there would just be so much less code.
So any plans to do Lego Racers next? Because that would let me actually inflict my childhood on everyone around me.
Bring back LEGO Creator! 😩
