Long answer: fuck Matt Pike. There are tons of other artists who do the ‘dopesmoker thing,’ to varying degrees - that said, yeah, sometimes ideas that sound like Matt or something will creep in there. We’re been called ‘Thou covering Sleep’ before.
oh what’s the tea on matt pike? i don’t see much on his wikipedia and i know very little about the genre. i’m not a big metal head so i only listen to select things i like, like this album.

oh, this is literally the same as finding out that an experimental hip hop artist i like named constrobuz is a holocaust denier. neat.
I’m not sure what upset me more when I first read it - his unwavering defense of Icke, or his attitude towards being called out about it.
both feel pretty equal to me, and of course, those are two sides of the common antisemitic coin. it’s always “my guy is good” and “you can’t tell me not to”. they give ground on neither.
