I updated my server from fabric 1.21.3 to vanilla 1.21.7 directly just recently and have noticed that my skeleton spawner farm is now killing unarmoured skeletons rather than leaving them on half a heart
- Is this a bug, or a bugfix?
- Is anyone else having this problem?
- Is this just a problem that happens when going from fabric to vanilla? The skeleton spawner was created by a mod which is no longer running.
I can’t see anything relevant in the changes or bugfixes of the releases after 1.21.3
My workaround is to raise the landing floor by 1 block which has returned the farm to normal functionality
What mods did you have installed
The one that created the spawner was MSS (Moog’s soaring structures)
Can you give a full modlist? It would be at the top of a server log in text form
Server side it was Moog’s various mods for populating the overworld and nether, and voice chat
Could be a bug then out some other change
I’m sure other people would notice this problem if it wasn’t just a quirk of my server change, since these fall for half a heart things are pretty popular
I especially would have expected the technical minecrafters I follow would note the change as they point out much less noticeable changes
So I’m putting this down to the removal of the mod that created the spawner, and the spawner reverting to a normal one. Perhaps it had been set up with tougher than normal skeletons - I did notice that despite being killed with a looting sword before they only dropped arrows and bones, now they also drop bows and armour
Ah yeah could be that the skeleton’s stats were being changed by the mod so now they are slightly weaker and have a different loot table
