Stay True is my personal favorite. Its very similar to vanilla, if a tad more painterly, but it also adds a ton of variety using alternate textures, and adds minor details like connected textures and custom models.
Theres also Painterly Pack, which was one of my favorites, but it hasn’t been updates since the game left beta, and the website is gone now.
I have a few to recommend since the last two times I played with friends I made a small vanilla+ modpack to go with the server. Though the textures I chose can get kind of specific.
- Classic 3D, 3D Default, 3D crops Revamped, Better Boats: +1 @Zyratoxx@fedia.io. The combination of these was liked by all my friends. It’s something they specifically brought up by themselves as being good.
- Cubic Sun & Moon: +1 @Oberyn@lemmy.world
- Chests Reimagined: Goes well with the previous mods.
- Better Shadow Entity!
- Fresh Animations: This thing is awesome, and brings a lot of life to the mobs of Minecraft with better animations and eyes that move !
- Shrimp’s Immersive Interfaces: Nicely detailed interfaces.
- Shield By Side: Yes
- xali’s Enchanted Books and xali’s Potions
- Better Looking Torches and Redstone Torch Backport Supporter: I really like the look of the new torches, so if I’m playing on an older version, this goes in
vanillatweaks, love how customizable it is.
Default 3D because it stays true to the original textures whilst applying more consistency to the game (like why are some blocks detailed 3D whilst other blocks like ladders and rails are not)
There’s also 3D Default in case you find that Default 3D is going too far.
Cubic (sun|mꝏn) also makes skies lꝏk better !

Patrix is my favorite for my medieval creative world
Never heard of seamful till now . Interesting pack ! Like how it reminds you that minecraft’s block game without completely removing texture like other seamed texture packs do
