    Hey cats have a “Love” section just as big as the dog’s!

    Well, almost as big. Relatively big. And it’s reserved for a very select audience. Who have made it through the multiple tests of loyalty and servitude.

    Also, it is subject to repeal at random times for no reason, which is not appealable. Of course, if you go out of town and come back, you forfeit all your progress and have to start over at level 1.

      I don’t think that’s universally true. Back when my partner had recently moved in with me, we found one of those pet spas to leave their cat at as we had to go out of town (terrible idea, in retrospect, and current me would say it would’ve been better for her to just have had someone come by the house to periodically check on her but not the point of this story).

      Due to scheduling of when we got back, my partner stayed home while I went to pick up the cat; as soon as I got there, she came out the room crying and I thought she was coming to greet me but she sped past me and went around the outside room, still crying, and searching.

      There is nothing on Earth that will convince me that she wasn’t determinedly looking for my partner. That cat loves them and, while she expresses affection in the sort of stereotypical cat way (unlike our boy who has designated times, every day, he comes over to be fawned over), she would be devastated to lose my partner (or me, at this point, I like to think). She likes her space and for there to be a certain level of protocol followed when it comes to interaction but there’s no doubt in my mind that she’s very ingrained-ly attached.

      Yeah I would say mine is equally driven to smother me as he is to eating. Unfortunately for me his tongue is similar to 25 grit sandpaper.

      my cat demands i rub my beard on his entire little head right after i shower. he literally tries climbing up my body to get to it

    Cats murder part should be bigger.

    At least half of “sleep” is actually just light snoozing while thinking/dreaming about murder.

    Bullshit. It’s painfully obvious that this was either written by a dog person or is using a tired stereotype to get clicks and make an easy joke.

    Given how incredibly protective my cat is of my toddlers, there is definable a love and loyalty section. He even lets my 1 year old use him as a monster truck ramp, for some reason.

    Dogs are more domesticated than cats, hence they care about more things that humans care about than cats. Cats, despite being only slightly less domesticated, still retain more of their sense of independence - though it sometimes feels like they are just kidding themselves - like they know deep down they aren’t wildcats prowling a jungle, eating only what they kill, but they like to maintain that mental image.

    Notice the color of the “?” is the same as the two panel captions - cats break the laws of meta-physics & 4th walls all the time.

    Dogs use that space for play only.
