Da fellow Amerikan, it certainly could not be the trumpers. That would make too much sense.

How much more proof do we need that ICE is to Trump was the SS was to Hitler: his private lawless paramilitary force?

ICE will end up doing what the SS did. It’s bound to happen. And it will happen all the more easily because they’re not the best and brightest by a long shot, and it’s about to get a lot worse.

The fact that they’re offering hiring bonuses that are more than my annual salary in EMS should be all the proof you need that we’re fucked.

This isn’t about immigration and it’s not going to stop if and when the immigrants are gone.

I’ve had a few coworkers eyeing the nurse rates but like. I already can’t stomach corrections even though I love the population. I can’t imagine this is going to be any better.

I am expecting Palenstine and others to take advantage of ICE’s low standards, hefty bonus, and $1,500 bounties. It is a great way to openly operate with firearms, masks, and unplated vehicles that don’t need to offer ID or obey law. Who needs suicide planes, when you can terrorize, politicize, profit, AND live?

          The states are fucked.

“Palenstine” isn’t a terrorist organization and there are plenty of home grown terrorists before you need to start reaching for 20 year old security panics.

The door is open to enemies abroad and at home. If you haven’t noticed, Palestine was bombed by the USA without a declaration of war - and the barn door called ‘ICE’ is wide open. If I were in their shoes, I would be sending operatives to ‘join’ ICE, because it is the easiest way to get some payback without retaliation.

Your ‘correction’ is dumb, because I wasn’t calling Palestine a terrorist organization. War is bloody, and ultimately an exercise of using what you got, to make the other guy to do what you want. If Palestine can put a horse’s head (or Hegseth’s) onto Donald’s bed, they would do that.

You don’t even have basic facts about the Israeli genocide correct, just seem to be operating on vaguely similar vibes. I’m not even sure if you’re actually trying to refer to Palestine or have entirely mistaken the Islamic adversary you’re scaremongering with. Is this supposed to be Iran?

This feels like a foreign account with a mistaken view about who the people in the US should be scared of. Palestinians are way way down the list if they’re even on it.

ICE, and by extension Republicans, are the true enemies of Americans. New and continuing enemies abroad, are consequences of bad or malignant leadership.

They’re now the most well funded domestic law enforcement agency to exist in the world, ever. With the sole task of deporting non-citizens.

What happens when there aren’t any more non-citizens to deport? Well they sure as hell are going to find SOME way to justify all that funding, don’t you think?

Only the top Nazis and the most egregious underbosses. Hundreds of thousands of former SS, waffen SS and Gestapo officers went through the denazification process for a few months, during which they underwent a kind of reverse brainwashing - which also served as a probationary period to make sure they weren’t ultra-Nazis trying to hide their true feelings - then they got reabsorbed into German civilian society.

Other German-occupied countries went through the same process. France for example, had roughly half a million civil servants who previously worked for the Vichy regime - some of them having done some pretty unsavory things.

It’s one of the great untold shameful stories of those countries, that everybody at the time swept under the rug because they - understandably - desperately wanted to move on, and also because, like it or not, the countries simply couldn’t function without rehabillating those disgusting people and their former skills.

Sounds like we should have gone harder. Maybe this time we will.

Though I would probably be pretty happy to see like trump and Mike Johnson convicted and executed by firing squad, even if a bunch of others escaped.

trump and Mike Johnson convicted and executed by firing squad

Trump will probably die of old age, sadly. Vance might get to be tried though, if he takes over the regime.

But they won’t be shot. They’ll be hanged. Execution by firing squad is a military “distinction” - at least when it’s carried out as part of a lawful sentencing process - and it’s considered one notch above hanging, which is reserved for common criminals and is applied to particularly disgusting characters as a mark of shame.

That’s why a lot of Nazis were hung rather than shot. I don’t think we’ll think of high-ranking MAGA officials as worthy of a firing squad.

I would be fine with a firing squad for every single neoconfederate, if it meant every single neoconfederate. Best for the bastards to be quickly removed from society enmasse, so that decent people can get on with rebuilding society without them.

As an ordinary dude, the only real difference I see with hanging and bullets is how much time and suffering leads to the final result. I have better things to do, such as working a job that a neoconfederate can no longer fill.

I didn’t know that. I just read on Wikipedia

Göring made an appeal asking to be shot as a soldier instead of hanged as a common criminal, but the court refused.

which is interesting and aligns with what you said

rather than dropping down through a trapdoor, the condemned would be violently jerked into the air by means of a system of weights and pulleys

Combine it with a trebuchet and Wile E Coyote the bastards.
