Just a reminder that Netanyahu was less than a month from being sentenced to life in prison on corruption charges before the attack happened and the Zionist party was allowed to declare martial law.

I mean Israel has all but admitted it. Combined with ordering soldiers to shoot their own civilians ‘to save them from becoming hostages,’I have no idea how Israelis are okay with their government sacrificing them even if they concur with their government on the genocide generally.

Israeli soldiers said they specifically received orders to cancel all patrols along the Gaza border from 5:20 AM until 9:00 AM. On October 7th 2023.

    i’m somehow surprised

I’m not surprised Israeli politicians or IDF leadership would conspire to enable domestic terrorism. Fascists do not value the lives of anyone but themselves and their immediate family/friends. I am surprised they would do it so blatantly.

How many soldiers would have been pulled from routine patrols? How often do they rotate or change patrols? You’d assume they’d advise patrols to check specific areas based on intelligence, but not the opposite. How would hundreds, if not thousands, of people not connect the dots instantly? Why would it take years for any of them to speak out?

This is damning in it’s simplicity, no twisted theories needed, no way to justify pulling patrols that were always there. There’s a small military base down the road from my hood, in zero danger of attack. Can you imagine any reason they would order the gate guards to just not show up?!

Said from the beginning, I refuse to believe that Israel’s famed intelligence apparatus failed to root out an attack of this magnitude. No way, they’re world class and thwarting an attack like this is their very raison d’être.

Not to mention that if it was really about stopping Hamas, they could just keep assassinating the leadership until there’s no one left who wants to risk it.

When Israel “assasinates” a “high value target” usually dozens if not hundreds of people are murdered alongside. Heck they have an AI tool to make sure that targets are hit when they are home with their family to maximize the casualties.

If you are Palestinian, Israel will probably try to kill or abduct and torture you. So people rather die fighting.

If they wanted to stop hamas they would end the occupation in the west bank and make comittement to end occupation in gaza first showing willingness for peace then they would talk with the western countries to arms the PA and let them finish hamas.

It’s not that easy. Hamas leadership goes to great lengths to protect themselves from Israeli assassinations. Yehia Sinwar for example didn’t use a smartphone for this very reason. It’s also harder for people to “not risk it” when they’re denied the right to even hope for a better future.

They were successfully hunting down Nazis multiple continents away before smart phones were a thing. I think they could have figured it out if they wanted to.

          This was always about genocide.

Obviously this was always about genocide; I’m not disputing that. My point is that the Palestinian resistance evolved under and against the backdrop of Israeli intelligence, so they’re not exactly sitting ducks for the IDF to assassinate.

Disclaimer: The article linked is from a single source with a single perspective. Make sure to cross-check information against multiple sources to get a comprehensive view on the situation.

Here is the same story with a bit of the details corrected from a reasonably legitimate source: https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/article-845865

Basically a bit over a year before the attack the IDF shifted patrols further away from the fence for fear of kidnappings. The IDF assessed the risk of a serious penetration had decreased while the risk of a soldier grab had increased. The IDF’s threat assessment was wrong of course. Nothing happened that morning.

As for the Golani most of them weren’t near Gaza. Some were and there was a notable engagement on Zikim Beach. Basically Hamas had taken out Gazan Command and Control, the troops weren’t sure what to do and surrendered beach territory to incoming speed boats (https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-massive-failure-troops-abandoned-civilians-at-zikim-beach-on-oct-7-idf-probe-finds/).

There could not have been an order to stand down that night. The Golani were not stationed there so it couldn’t have happened.

So yes this story is a fake.
