Anyone else have this problem? Boost works fine on my home WiFi but if I’m on data it fails to refresh and a floating error message says
Read error: ssl=0xb… - - > message goes off screen
Get back to home WiFi and boost works again. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks

Nice one! Changed to a lemmy.world instance and boost is working with my mobile data. Is it an NSFW thing?
This could be due to the server (in your case lemmynsfw.com) being set up a certain way and not serving your area well. I had this experience with my Mastodon instance when I was on vacation on the other end of the world.
