I tend to disagree, we do need to look into the future, but we need to look into the past from time to time not to forget the lessons we learnt. Lately there’s a lot of “looking into the future” with very little “looking into the past”.

When you look forward without looking back, you forget where you come from, and thus forget where you should go. Looking where you are going without the knowledge of where you should go gets you somewhere, you might not go there though.

I agree, but I meant teaching a child to look ahead while litterally running has it’s own kind of beauty

Teaching a child to look backwards while running could be its own kind of beauty, we just don’t know. Perhaps we’ll never know.

My sister’s kid likes to feed the ducks but he’s not very good at balancing, and two times now he’s toppled forward into the lake. I swear I never used to do anything when I was a kid, these modern ones keep trying to kill themselves.
