Your access is limited to the upper layer. Depending on the food you might want to reach the bottom too or mix it easier.

no i’m not talking about eating out of a tall glass, i mean why don’t plates have like a 2cm rim on them? i have absolutely no problem reaching things in my lunch boxes.

More importantly, those little ketchup cups can be expanded if you pull out every second or third pleat to make it actually usable as a dipping tray.

No, it isn’t supposed to fold into a plate, you aphid-faced faucet gnawers. It’s just a simple and good design that doesn’t use a whole lot of waste and manages to take one piece of cardboard and fold it into a receptacle for food. But remember, it is a receptacle for food. A receptacle that can be closed, and also, remind yourself that this is for Chinese food. The food famously that cannot be eaten in one sitting. You start eating it, realize you have gotten full, and have to put it into the fridge for leftovers. So you close it except now you cannot. Why? Because you gnawed on a faucet.

chinese food. The food famously that cannot be eaten in one sitting.

I have never heard of that.

Also, I assume you’re not a fat fuck, since you think there’s food that can’t be eaten and a single sitting.

I mean, yeah. I hope you’re staying well, wish you all the best.

EDIT : and by that stupid shit, I mean to put respect on your name, good Stamets

I guess I should have said stereotypically. Like if you look at TV/movies/video games and someone looks into a fridge there’s usually a container of chinese food. It’s fallen out of favor more recently but you’ll still see 'em kicking about. That and there’s the whole thing about it being really quickly filling but then leaving you wanting more not super long later so it ends up as leftovers for a bit.

As for staying well… not close. But I appreciate it <3 Same back to you my friend

Without clarification from the designer it’s impossible to tell what the intention is. If you’re gonna come in and act all high and mighty about it I expect you to actually pull up the patents and prove it. Otherwise you’re doing the same thing as the original poster, only you’re also a hypocrite.

        Okie dokie.

Evidently I wasn’t clear enough with my aphid faced faucet gnawing stuff. I was overresponding for the sake of comedic effect.

But considering you asked so nicely?

Here’s the patent for an ‘Oyster Pail’. These things were designed to hold Oysters or other things by using simple blanks that could be double walled for strength and with a closing lid that could prevent containers from sloshing around. There’s actually even more history about it! You can check it out for yourself! How?

Well, you know, there happens to be this magical thing that was created a few years back. I know it hasn’t made the full rounds but you should check it out! It’s called ‘The Internet’ although I’ve heard it referred to a few different things. Turns out it has this huge repository of information that you can find! It’s really cool!

Since I first heard of this 15 years ago, I still haven’t ever done this, because the box when it’s folded up, is just like a box of food in it. You can just eat out of it, as is, similar to a bowl. When you’re done, you don’t have to fold anything back up into a box. You just close it and put it in the fridge.
