You hear them bang on and on about this cycle:

Bad times create strong men.
Strong men create good times.
Good times create weak men.
Weak men create bad times.

This is absolutely true, 100%

So the facists are right!

Too bad they confuse who the strong and weak men are…

Sorry for the rage bait title, I just wanted to joke a bit.

This is a photo of four bottles of champagne each dedicated to Trump, Putin, Musk and Orban respectively for when the world no longer has to deal with their miserable existance.

Bad times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create bad times.

This garbage is derived from “The fourth turning” Strauss–Howe generational theory. Which can best be explained by H. L. Mencken

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

How long does champagne last before it goes stale or bad? Trump and Putin are pretty old so it probably won’t take that long, but Musk might be a challenge.

Bad times create strong men, when they’re wise and rightly guided, else they just traumatize people.

Strong men create good times, if you define strong as virtuous and not just “physically imposing” or even just emotionally resilient.

Good times create weak men, when “good” is defined as “hedonistic, consumeristic and with no ethical expectations”.

And weak (morally wormy, stupid, etc) men do create bad times. 🤷
