Nature Walk
Hiked 9/7/25
A short nature walk on the historic grounds of Woodstock. Various historical information may be found on the grounds, as well as a museum and modern venue that regularly hosts shows. Fun fact: all the videos are CSN no Y, even though he performed as well but refused to sign the video release forms.
Side view of the hill leading down to the stage for Woodstock, which would have been on the far left of the frame.
The modern Bethel Woods venue. Exposure is a little odd on this one, having the exposed cloudy sky and the shaded venue underneath.
Vintage USA themed clothing. Sign below it mentions the hippies of the era wearing a lot of patriotic adornments.
Plate left at the Message Tree. Reads: To Cindy (with the black hair & sister). I’m sorry I was too untogether to remember to ask for your address. Please call (A Phone Number) -> Later in the Week, Dan
Thought the untogether phrasing was just too funny.
Being there would have been hella claustrophobic and no way they had a big enough sound system to reach that hoard of people.
Haha, yeah it was apparently ~450k people at the fest. I went to the second Bonnaroo back in the day, which I believe hit a million at the fest, but was like 10x the area for everyone and was still unbelievably packed. I’d imagine for a lot of the crowd it was far more the experience than actually hearing the music well.
