      Chile, interestingly enough, was a failure of the CIA. The CIA tried to overthrow Allende, but had to move on to other projects once they screwed the pooch. Allende was eventually overthrown by Pinochet, who had fooled nearly everyone into believing he was an apolitical soldier willing to serve under a leftist leader.

      Pinochet, mind you, was heavily supported by the US after that. But his coup was not a success of the CIA’s.

      I’m unaware of the specifics of CIA involvement in Argentina’s many coups, but it wouldn’t surprise me if you have something on it.
