Honestly I was kind of hoping he’d stay in and draw votes away from Cuomo.
That’s why he dropped out.
Any bets on what job he got offered by the Trump administration for this (arc)? I’m going to guess he ends up working for RFK Jr.somehow (arc).
To help Cuomo it seems.

Trump and New York businesses both offered Eric Adams jobs in exchange for dropping out.
Wouldn’t they want him to stay in, to spoil Mandami?
Or did they figure more republicans would split for Adams than dems split for Adams?
The exact opposite, they want to remove all the spoilers to give Cuomo the best chances of winning.
