It really does, growing up in the 80s/90s I couldn’t even imagine someone as terrible as him in political office in a functioning democracy. Of course it’s evident that the US is no longer a functioning democracy, hopefully they will be again sooner than later
Yes I also realize they (the US) always had their faults but it wasn’t going full Nazi at least. Think how much Superman would be shamed by knowing he’s from that country. I know it’s fictional but as a character he always does the best he can to help everyone.
