If I had a cheeseburger instead of pizza because it’s cheeseburger day, even if I want pizza, that’s deterministic. You could argue that the schedule is arbitrary, and that’s fair, but deciding for yourself what pronouns you are going to have used in your regard regardless of your sex is arbitrary.
