I got Outer Wilds but haven’t played it yet.
Also last Friday was the mtg Foundations prerelease and it was a very nice send-off before literally half of all new magic cards are stupid IP tie-ins.

The trailer made it look like a marvel movie mixed with overwatch. Is the game good though? I have not played a dragon age.
How’s the emulation coming along? My computer is potato but ran elden ring and stuff.
I’ve heard mixed things about Below Zero, but it’s gonna be a long time till Subnautica 2 so I might check it out.
Only one problem though: Glow Whales. I am not afraid of the deep any more than the next person, but I do have a real bad phobia of baleen whales. Nothing in Subnautica has been any more scary than the developers intended, but I saw a clip of those friendly Glow Whales in action and it hit my lizard brain and I started crying.
So I’d need to mod those out first.
Still playing Subnautica, working on my cove tree base in the lost river. This game got a lot less scary when I realized that if you see a dangerous animal you can just ram with your cyclops. Sea monsters don’t handle getting rammed by a 40ft submarine very well.
Apparently the sequel does have a whale that looks very much like a whale. Guess I can’t play that one.
I’ve been playing lots of Subnautica. Starting to get base building down - just did the thing with the floating island and so plot is definitely happening, but I’m struggling to get much further without the cyclops or prawn suit though (have blueprints, still need materials).
My friends are astonished I can play given my extreme cetaphobia, but this game doesn’t have any whales so it’s only regular scary.

Yeah but then you gotta play Eclipse Phase.
Love the setting, the system is pretty janky (I have not read 2e)
Reinstalled Subnautica with a bunch of mods.
So I have this really severe phobia of baleen whales, have all my life. I turn into a crying snotty mess, it’s bad. It’s even happened a few times scrolling on this site! (People post funny memes that my lizard brain takes as a threat).
My bf was surprised to see me installing this. Had to explain that it’s only regular underwater scary, and that nothing in the game could be nearly as bad as a a typical “inspirational” image of our irl sea monsters.
I preordered Pokemon Yellow from Toys R Us as a kid for a $5 deposit, and it was such a good preorder that I don’t ever need to preorder anything again.
The new set sucks. I don’t care about 80s horror and tvs and sneakers and cheerleaders. Give me more Redwall.
Got into Magic Arena and been playing Bloomburrow drafts almost every day. I will lose interest as soon as Bloomburrow drafts rotate out. It’s such a good set and I love adorable woodland critters and stories about cooperation.
Yeah the white phosphorus scene was really dumb but the rest felt justified.
John Avon lands are so distinct. You see that dramatic lighting on a basic land and you just know it’s him.
Spec Ops: The Line was pretty good but the white phosphorous scene felt a little forced to me. Like, you have to use the war crimes weapon on a group that as a player you’re thinking “nah I could probably sneak/shoot through that” and the game doesn’t let you make the choice of not massacring civilians. For most of the game when you do something awful, you the player are doing it because you have John SpecOps’s warped perspective, but then the game gives a big “do an obvious war crime” button and forces you to push it to proceed.
They gave the concept a good try though.
they fixed that bug where you could flood a world by placing a water block at the skybox, but nah not much else.
Betrayal at House on the Hill is a lot of fun. Coop haunted house exploration, until part way through, the haunt happens and maybe your friends a vampire now! Maybe there’s a ghost stalking these halls! Maybe there’s a zombie dog that you can distract by throwing meat at it!
Pandemic is also a lot of fun and coop, but I was gifted it mid-2019 and my friends quickly found it too “topical”. Also lmao, it acts like the whole world would unite in the face of a horrible pandemic and now we know that that’s a wild fantasy.
Outer Wilds is really fun. I was looking for a good exploration game after beating Subnautica and this is really hitting the mark.
I also want to start another Disco Elysium run. Not just because it’s a beautiful game, but because I need a whole bunch of screenshots to turn into proxies for my custom Disco Elysium-themed magic deck (Elmar, Ulvenwald Informant and Wernog, Rider’s Chaplain as Harry and Kim)
