Thank you!
I don’t think it’s really a replacement for meshtastic. This is more a tool for building networks over many different data streams. Can use RNode, packet radio, tcp/ip even just a serial connection will do it. It’s pretty cool. I have ew perimentinh with it over the last year+ and it’s getting a lot better. I see what the dev envisions and Its awesome. Will continue to follow and test. I am hoping to find other users locally and start building our own network/infrastructure.
I feel like this is the right time to move to Lemmy… I lost faith in Reddit and it is starting to feel like everything is either an ad or a bot… I feel like the community heee is more genuine and real (we can only hope). And if more people feel like the big tech sites (Facebook/google/reddit) is now in the US Gov’s pocket then maybe it’s time to find alternatives. Blue sky is rocketing on that front but men I prefer the Reddit style discourse. Lemmy checks all those boxes. I’m hoping in time more communities pop up and more users follow.
Yeah that’s fair. Feel to me like peertube just needs to find a way to monitize the platform. That can also be done from a server by server model. Sorta like every broadcast network runs their own monitization efforts. Either way seems to me that a solution isn’t out of reach and the platform can become quite successful.
