I am now more confused
This one lives in my head rent free! 🤣
Check it out, teams.microsoft.com, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything for my day to day work duties? I can lead meetings, screen share, use Copilot, calendar…all the “Teams” stuff like the tabs for onenote or planner or other apps (they’re all web based too). I guess I don’t feel like I’m missing out on any capability?
TBH I’d rather read a transcription than listen to two voices paraphrasing a meeting anyway.
I use MS teams on Linux all day long for work through web browser (I think it’s a PWA app?) and have no issues at all. I’m not saying I love MS teams but I am not running into any bugs with it. My only complaint is they used to have a ‘native’ Linux app that ran using something called electron that would allow for notifications in my desktop environment, whereas now in the browser I don’t get those, but that didn’t really end up being a problem.
A long piece of yarn or jute / hemp rope can be a great toy that doesn’t have any bulk that might scare them. I make it swish around on the floor like a snake and drag it around corners / doorways and the cats go nuts trying to “catch” it.
As for the eye drops, I’m currently pilling my one cat for an issue and I know she HATES it, but we don’t focus on the event and quickly move past it. We pick her up, I pill her, she growls and struggles, we set her down and then pretend nothing happened and give her a bit of space. She gets over it relatively quickly. The eye drops are probably temporary and I don’t believe this would cause lasting damage to your relationship.
One week is very quick for a cat to adjust to a new living situation, I bet he’s still getting used to things and may become even more playful and relaxed over time.
Congrats on the new kitty!
Me and my bestie snuck a Red Dog beer out from her neighbors garage and we split it when we were 14. We thought we got drunk off that half can of beer each, I’ll never forget that day we had so much fun laughing. 30 years later and now I brew my own. Cheers!
Chai is very pretty!
My computer looks great from the glass panel side! Just dont take off the back side panel or all the cables spill out and I have to push them all back in 🤣
Believe it or not I use the old Steam Controller that they don’t make anymore. I love it and found a few used on Facebook marketplace and bought them as spares. I’ve even had some parts 3D printed to replace broken parts 🤣
I use a loooong HDMI cable and a controller with dongle. Ive tried steam link app in the past but found I’d get hiccups with my wifi network and it only supported lower resolutions. I wanted to game at 4k resolution and the streaming only let me do 1080p, plus I couldn’t get surround sound streaming to work. The HDMI cable solved both those issues.
What about the poop knife?
Thanks for the response! Sounds like a lot of the benefits you listed are the things I was thinking I’d enjoy with a new machine. As a fellow astigmatism sufferer I can understand the value that the automatic threader could have! I’m gonna take another look at the newer machines in a bit more earnest now 🙂
Thanks for your response! I’m also in my forties and this is me when trying to thread the needle:
The family member who gifted me the sewing machine is the one who dropped it off at the shop to get serviced, and the service tech commented that they much prefer the older Singer machines, and seemed pleased to breathe some life back into this old one (which I will from now on refer to as Ol’ Bessie).
That’s a great point as far as content on the machine…there’s not much out there at all. I don’t immediately see a speed setting, and there was nothing in the manual mentioning it but I can take a further look. I may just keep an eye out on those sales at Joann and see. If the prices get low enough to be a steal I might just pick one up. While I love the idea of keeping a retro machine going I’m also at the age where modern conveniences have some merit! 😆
Thanks about the bench cushion!! There’s another fan of it as well…
Doing step challenges and tracking steps keeps me walking. I try for 10k steps a day and use Samsung Health’s monthly challenge on my phone as gamification to keep walking daily.
I use mealie exactly as your use case describes. We meal plan each week using the recipes I have saved in it and then create a shopping list of those items added to the meal plan. It works great and with docker has been easy to maintain. I used to use Nextcloud Cookbook but I like the UI of mealie better.
