I was thinking about how you can sacrifice the downside aura.

Notably the ability has only one target, the treasure, so you absolutely cannot sacrifice the treasure before the ability resolves.

It’s just to see more cheap dragons especially if they have cool setups and payoffs. It not literally being just a 3mv dragon I think it’s the right way to go to avoid diluting the mechanical identity of dragons.

A cool niche ability with a weird setup cost but it doubles as surgical grave hate?

For EDH play I don’t think I personally see enough activated abilities but that’s the only threshold that needs crossing for me.

This seems really fun even though I can’t tell if it’s good. In EDH I can see Grixis theft decks slotting it right in because it draws, ramps, and even steals!

In eternal formats this is a great “food in a can” (hah!) card. It only produces half X tokens but you get a god body to make up for it.

I wonder if there are and UG tokens decks that want this.
