Aaw, did someone at the top try pulling the ladder up after themselves only to get fucked over by their own ladder pull? What a shame!
I’m back! In Hexbear form!

Oh boy! I can’t wait to have the game be more barebones than EU1 at launch, but with big expensive DLC every 3-4 months that adds new content, and as a bonus, comes with a free patch that disables my game unless I have the DLC!
The most worrying part about this to me, is that if Nintendo wins this lawsuit, they might start going after other games for “similar” mechanics.
Enjoy a game where your character jumps? Oops, Mario does that.
Like swinging a sword around? Green Tunic Twink Boy has that covered.
I’m being hyperbolic of course, but once the door is open for this sort of thing, I think it will become much, much more common. Indie games are the only real threat to the big AAA companies, and the only real reason they don’t charge $200 a game, but if they can sue any indy company into bankruptcy, they’ll have no challenges to their overpriced slop.
You can pry my Junkrat superjump glitch from my cold dead hands!
One of my favourite things is watching people who “hate politics” or “don’t get political on stream” talk to the Sunday friend. The realisation that they all have, that they sound exactly like him is great. Of course, afterwards, they rarely actually learn anything and continue to behave the same way. But it’s fun to see them confronted with their shit politics for a minute. I can’t think of any other bit of media that actually challenges this kind of status quo warrior centrism.
It was also before game development got homogenized and became less about creation and more about constructing to a template, but at the same time, most of the major issues with 3D games had already been fixed.
Is that her? Is that Clair Obscur? I’ll take your word for it, I can’t really see her face from this angle.
Fable 3’s main villain is a generic “good motives but evil methods AUTHORITARIAN baddie” though.
Pure nazi bar shit. They’re being “civil” about their bigotry for now so they’re allowed to stay. They’ve been trying to get this foot in the door on nexus mods for years.
Keep in mind the people who are ranting about these “woke” games online on every single steam forum do so because they have nothing better to do. Instead of playing fun games, they’d rather jump at shadows and complain, instead of contributing to society, they’d rather be pathetic sad sacks with no friends because they are so repulsive. They spend all their time complaining, which creates the illusion that there are a lot of people complaining, when it is a small group that is just very vocal with too much time on their hands.
And would remind themselves of this “travesty” of a character creation screen every time they turn the game on and it loads their modlist, instead of just the few times they create a character.
I think they just want to be angry, but are also lazy. Which is why they always pick the character creation stuff to get mad about. No sense getting mad about a quest 30 hours into the game, that takes effort to get to! But the character creation screen? Even a monkey smashing random buttons could probably reach it no problem.
I haven’t played it or really heard of it, but it’s probably awful? That’s what you wanted to hear right?
They shock me when I see a friend playing them at their place. It’s always the same flashy bloom “realistic” graphics that look identical to any other game on the market, with token RPG elements shoved in and nothing that gives it a unique sense of style or flow. They just always look so boring to me. Like Assasin’s creed 69 looks functionally the same as red dead rootin’ tootin’ just that one is about cowboys, one is about like, ancient greece or something.
Heavy social commentary regarding communism. Whether pro or anti is unclear.
You mean you don’t like
every time you talk to someone?
Ah. Well hopefully that lawyer learns a valuable lesson about defending Nazis. Turns out they think they’re above everyone else (including their lawyer).
Yikes. My parent’s decision to never actually get me a nintendo 64 makes a lot more sense now lol.
With or without inflation? (I had a Sega mega drive and skipped the PS1/64 Era of games so I’ll probably guess it wrong anyway.)
I want to say…$80?
Remember when an Xbox 360 game could end up being $120 at launch at EB games? I sure do.
Because stock images often do charge for their use in articles like this, or at the very least require proper attribution. Using an AI is the easier and lazier way to get that done.
Also wouldn’t surprise me if the boss’ failson who works as the manager is convinced that they need to go “all in” on AI and demands their writers all use it as much as possible.
