If they’re at all like cavies aka guinea pigs they are happy playing. The behavior is called popcorning in cavies.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What was something that you thought was overhyped that actually lived up to the hype?
1·6 months agoOk thanks for that! I think I may try out a firmer mattress sometime.

1·6 months agoCan I ask why that mattress was especially good for sex? Like, more than a typical mattress? Asking cause I like sex and have FOMO.

1·8 months agoNot doubting you but why exactly? Idk and I’m not in a condition to start perusing wikipedia unsupervised
Emu? Ostrich? Homunculus?
Pardon my ignorance. I’m not in an area that needs to dedicate mental labor to possible fights with birds.
In pole dancing terms that’s the gluteal crease or gluteal fold.
Medically the gluteal fold is the buttcrack.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why can't my grandfather find hearing aids he likes?
1·11 months agoI’ll also add that I hated the average hours of use thing cause whenever I would mail them in to get repaired it seemed like that time was being counted as well, so Id go in and get told I’m averaging something like 5 hours a day when I’m wearing them more like 16-18 hours a day.

2·11 months agoNeat!
In my other comment I address the specific issue that’s more common with hearing aids, which is overwhelming your brain with noice it’s not used to.

4·11 months agoThis. A good audiologist will usually start the gain pretty low, like 30% otherwise it overwhelms your brain in a way that’s hard to describe but will mean you don’t like it. After a few months you can have the gain turned up.
But if you can’t get the settings tweaked you can just turn volume down as soon as they are turned on.

4·1 year agoYo, compensation doesn’t matter.
Outcome per dollar matters.
Hiring people at starvation wages may work, or hiring more expensive cream of the crop may work. What I care about when I’m donating is “did my dollars accomplish what I wanted?” And “could my dollars have done more for the cause elsewhere?”
If people are making the world better and have nice office furniture I don’t really begrudge them that.

Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Study shows EV owners have bigger carbon footprint than average because they are wealthier81·1 year agoYes. Easy patch.
I mean, public transport is a fucking ton of money to start up, and anywhere outside an urban center it is not just a loss but almost a total loss due to distances.
I remember being in a meeting in grad school to discuss the school bus system as part of the student review of finances. We had a bus route that went to another town a good distance away, and it was nearly always empty or with like 2 people on it, so they basically said once the grant money is gone we will shut down this route. We can’t afford to put good money into something expensive and isn’t getting used.
I realize there is a lot about car culture feeding that, but it remains a massive obstacle. Switching from existing structures like parking etc to public transport? How? How fast? What do we do with that space? Who pays for it? I’m frustrated by the system but we can’t just start from a blank slate, we have to work with it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you solo train on stationary bike?
3·1 year agoI get that, and I’m kinda trying to see how to best use my limited time in the mornings for workouts. I can’t lift weights anymore due to joint issues, so I’m trying to keep the sexy legs I earned!

I don’t get the “horse denier” sticker. Otherwise yeah.
Also scissoring is more about mutual fun, not like actually cumming imo…
