I figured most datacenter customers wouldn’t be running pcie cards, they’d be running OAM for higher density.

Poor things :(
I have reached something of a conclusion there myself - we haven’t done anything wrong. It’s systemic, “they” never had any intention of allowing us to work our way to a good life. It was always going to be just enough to keep you alive and most importantly hungry. There are more people in this situation than we think.
The important thing is to not give up, and it’s important to bear in mind that at least in my experience other than being social manipulators they’re quite uninspiring in many respects. That is also why they don’t like people who don’t fit - they are, by nature, disruptive to that state of affairs.
I think if you keep working the problem you will come to a good conclusion.
You probably did not say horribly wrong things, those people are likely just assholes.
Concentration camps have existed in the US and Canada before. First for indigenous populations and then for the Japanese after Peal Harbor.
And you’re right, it’s a sore test of faith to allow people to continue to live in bigotry - and especially difficult when they are doing everything in their power to hurt you. Unfortunately short of “killing them all”, which is a path that will lead to exactly the same outcomes over time, it has to be done.
There is a reason a path of faith is considered a harder path.
The reason most civilized nations have removed the death penalty is that even in modern criminal cases, at least one in five convicted persons are innocent.
If you lock someone up, there is the possibility of releasing them and providing them with an income to say sorry for taking most of their life away. If you execute them, nothing can be done to make amends - it is a final and irreversible step.
I cannot even imagine the kind of kangaroo justice that would be encouraged by attempting to go after anyone involved in this current state of affairs. If we get things wrong 20% of the time with a stable society, how well are we going to fare on establishing guilt when we’re trying to quickly process tens of thousands of stormtrooper cosplayers? Yes, they’re probably horrible, horrible people, but I think extreme repercussions should be reserved for ringleaders and people in a decision making capacity. Even then, we should stop short of killing them.
I am fairly sure the people on the ground acting out will have the rest of their lives to process the trauma they’ve inflicted on themselves, their communities and their victims - and many of them won’t be able to come to grips with it in this lifetime.
pity about that denuvo crapware.
It’s more or less a custom board design, but the CPU’s are IBM Power9 architecture.
I’d love me one of those Talos2 boards. $$$$ though.
Serbia sells arms to anyone. A lot of people are making bank now that conflicts are turning hot globally.
For instance…an israeli 747 was just loading up in Belgrade this morning…
Like everything else…if you want to get into the details (which are important)…It’s complicated
Judge Bayer didn’t seem too enthusiastic about backing that one up…
The particles spewing from both ends also don’t help.
Nope. The rulings coming out of the Federal courts (more often than not from Trump appointed judges) are unambiguous and the executive branch is largely complying with them once a ruling is handed down.
They are playing a game of legal brinkmanship in order to to try and circumvent the law (the whole dismiss-and-arrest thing happening at immigration courts - which are NOT full courthouses, btw), but don’t think for one second the Judges and attorneys working on these cases aren’t fully aware of what’s going on.
*edited for less word salad. Yikes
For the car analogy, the incentives are even more perverse than that!
There has been no blanket ban, however many individual cases are being reverse and TRO’s are flying in full swing. I’d suggest following this immigration attorney for a (very depressing) play-by-play including links to the filings.
Well… there is that bit where his companies now have all of the data they were able to loot from the Federal departments he ruined.
Disagree. UAW’s high profile cases are a good example of effectively run established old-style unions getting big wins, and unionization is occurring at high rates compared to the historical mean of the past fifty years worldwide, even in the face of total hostility from government and the owner class.
Many unions are currently in a place where they need to hand over the reigns from an older generation that got way too comfortable with cost of living adjustments and cosy relationships with management to a new generation who have been directly blocked from power most of their working lives by that older generation.
Things are going to get much spicier, just watch.
So much for cash anonymity. Unless a payment system is completely anonymous whilst supporting secure transactions, it’s a non-starter. Unfortunately the EU does not appear to be able to tolerate privacy for its citizens, hence constant attempts to undermine and curtail any privacy/anonymity-first technologies or concepts.
