Fabric mods. Server-side only, no client mods.

The username is set in the launcher.

The server is run in what’s called “offline-mode” so that it doesn’t contact mojang when someone tries to login. Then a plugin (at least on vanilla+ servers, I haven’t run nodded) a plugin is used to make users type in a password.

I have begun making my own modpack based on create extra. With this in it (and currently quite a few mods from CE removed)

There are some things about this modpack though: 1. Its using a create fork that has been archived. 2. Spark isn’t useful. 3. Overall it seems half a year out of date.

I almost want to make my own updated version of this.
