I think this is going to be my main.

I remember hear8ng during the development of the first steam controller, valve have put in a trackball emulator or behavior (whatever it’s called. I’m playing my “English is my second language” card) for the track pads.
I assume they didn’t abandon that and did put it as a configuration for the steam deck, and again still assuming, for the new controller.
If I’m wrong I’m happy to be politely corrected.
Also, hello fellow trackball companion 👋🏾

Looking forward to all 3 NGL. But the controller is what I’m most interested in.

Even me with a big tower is interested in the Steam Machine. My rig isn’t powerful to say the least, but cramming things inside the size of the Steam Machine, from my research, can get expensive fast.
IMO $500 is the highest it should go to still sell well. This is based on a few videos of people building SFF PC with older parts that can do 4K30
Steve went to Valve and had talks with their engineers.
Valve said the frame should be cheaper than the index
Steve went to their HQ and had talks with their engineers.
They’re using snapdragon 8 gen 3 and emulation

wow browsers can blow dank clouds now? broooo.
Sorry, I had to :P

I’ve long had this problem of tracking the multiple manga (and anime) that I’ve been interested in since the 2010s. Back then there was this one reader site called onemanga and I had all my eggs on that. as usual it had to go down somehow (in their case, money) and that scared me into using MyAnimeList (MAL) and mangaupdates (MU) to track everything. On top of that now I add kitsu.io and anilist now.
I think if you’re going to move manually one by one from kotatsu and mihon, might as well add a couple extra steps to those sites to help track as well. I’ll admit though in terms of esoteric items, kitsu is the least, followed by anilist, MAL then MU as the highest chance to include weird stuff. I have to redo my MU list since I somehow got my old account deleted and who knows what weird manga I’ve tracked that got lost.

Eh, I’d say this is different than say scanlators complaining they’re not getting donations, or even sillier, people not paying them when the pay gate their scans and translations. Or scamlators beefing with each other because they accuse of stealing each other or some shit.
It is pointless drama that put a target on the devs though but they’ll pull through

Yeah I jumped the gun on this one tbh. The “better” news is that kotatsu has taken down their repos. It should still work as long as the extensions that get the manga are still updated and working
And the manga sites themselves still being up that is.

The real mihon discord mods have been really diligent to stop any questions asking for source and where to get pirated mamgas. They even dont allow to say official sources too just in case.
But regardless kakao etc wouldn’t care about that and I dont think hobby devs are going to challenge a C&D from a group of companies in court.

This is true. Some still use the last tachiyomi release til today so as long as extensions get updated it should be fine really.
And one of mihon devs did say on reddit they have backups of the source code. It’ll probably will pop up again under another name

Read on reddit that one of the mihon devs do keep backup of the source code so it probably will be revived in another name if they get taken down.
Fingers crossed nothing happens

Kotatsu bundled in the extensions that scrapes manga sites like tachiyomi used to so that’s the biggest sin that they’re targeted by kakao etc.
Give mihon a try.
This has instructions where and how to get the extensions.
Although kotatsu will work for a bit I think it’s best you start looking to migrate. But AFAIK there’s no easy way to migrate unless you use other sites to track your reading progress and read lists.

Yeah. I considered Kotatsu before when Tachiyomi shut down, but stuck with Mihon as it’s a direct successor. Although I use one of the forks though because… panda time.
Never really did tried Kotatsu.

After submitting myself to torture by back reading a bit of their discord’s general chat from the point of the two announcements, it’s a crashout and some pirates’ beef with each other.
So now I wished I reported on Kotatsu’s shutdown only, not this annoying drama.

Better back up your list somehow in case they go down.
But also just my luck as I submitted this post, Antsy updated on their discord lol.
Here’s the post:

Hello @everyone again,
Sorry for acting childish on the whole situation. 1.5 years of frustration bursted out with Kotatsu dying and iiTachiyomi pushing the “Mihon Community” thing. After a good night of sleep and staff being angry with me (love them) I’ve decided to end this whole thing again. I’ve 4 reasonable demands for iiTachiyomi. I won’t escalate it even if they disagree. But I hope the community will hold them accountable if they do.

Not sure if there is any point in just posting the guide somewhere random.
I see it as a backup so that you can post it again when if reddit deletes your post.
I personally am going to copy it somewhere else so that I can share it with those who ask in case the link goes down somehow.

As a gshock fan, the “democratization” of that initial gshock ring is amazing lol

Yeah I feel like they changed how the algorithm reacts to getting those requests. It used to be constant skirmishes with the suggested videos where I have to say “don’t recommend” until they stick.
My biggest worry with used EV is the batteries. Me living in a tropical country that can reach 40°C that has to take a big toll on battery health.
The other thing stopping me buying a new car is my old car still works fine and I don’t want to be in debt again for a car.
