It’s an infantile vision of what a strong man is. He’s a caricature and the US is a joke as a result.

That was their goal. Humiliate Ukraine like he tried to humiliate Canada and Mexico. He’s a bully and conman and lying, cheating, and breaking deals is how he has gotten through life and it’s all he knows. He thinks that by humiliating and making other leaders feel small and helpless he can make himself look big and strong and get a better deal.

He hasn’t figured out yet that dealing with sovereign countries with millions of citizens whose politicians need to answer to them, not Trump, is different that cheating a small paint store or a small architecture firm.

He’s bankrupted everything he’s tried to, the-art-of-the-deal and he’s going to bankrupt America.

If the world works together it can bring the United States to heel.

He should fly to Brussels to discuss Europe’s offer. They won’t tell him repeatedly that he should be more thankful.

When our kids got old enough my wife threw out the plastic, Ikea flower cups that the rest of us all loved. She wanted us to use more grown up cups. We now all drink exclusively from her mason jars.

Canada is number 32. Maybe the US should become Canada’s fourth territory. We should talk to Premier Trump about it.

The ONLY way Canada would ever even entertain considering joining the US is if they give up their guns and implement a training and licensing regime based on gun ownership being a privilege, not a right. They would have to implement universal health care and get rid of the parasite class of unnecessary profit sucking health insurance companies. They would have to agree that every citizen has the absolute right to vote, electoral boundaries must be set by a non-partisan commission, that every citizen has free and equal access to the ballot box, and elections are carried out by marking an X on a piece of paper using a stubby pencil, putting that piece of paper in a cardboard box, opening that cardboard box at the end of the night, counting the ballots, calling in the count, and declaring a winner by midnight on election day. That religious freedom means that you can practice your religion however you want right up until it has any effect on anyone other than you and then it stops and that religious freedom is NOT the right to discriminate. That everyone is equal, has the right to love and marry whoever they want. That workers have rights, get vacation, sick leave, parental leave, bereavement leave, and that those things are entitlements. That free speech doesn’t include hate speech, racism, discrimination, harassment, or doxing. It’s none of anyone’s fucking business what anyone does with their body and women have the absolute and exclusive right to make decisions about their healthcare with their healthcare provider.

That’s just a start. If you can’t agree to those conditions then it’s a non-starter.

I switched to Firefox the morning they disabled uBlock Origin.

It is concerning but the US is only the most powerful country in the world because of its influence. The rest of the world sees Trump as a dangerous joke. The US loses influence under Trump. The US’ closest, most trusted allies now see the US as untrustworthy because Trump is up to his old tricks of bullying others into renegotiating treaties that he signed because he doesn’t like the terms. Why would anyone make a deal with the US if it’s just going to throw out the deal and force a new deal whenever it wants?

Trump is going to be good for the rest of the world because he will greatly diminish the standing of and trust of the US. Trade relationships will realign to exclude the US. China will continue to increase its lead in EVs and cheap, renewable energy. The US has already lost and doesn’t even know it.

Convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, serial fraudster and sexual harasser, serial adulterer, serial business bankrupter, pathological liar, and life long conman says more stupid shit.

It has nothing to do with his being an abject failure as a CEO. Nope. Nothing at all.

It’s about hurting people. MAGA has a hardon for cruelty. After years of being made to feel stupid (intellectual elites), ignorant (woke), backwards (progressives) their resentment has festered into a burning hatred. They want to see people hurt. They voted against their own self-interest and the future of their children and the country in exchange for the daily televised blood sport of Trump’s campaign of revenge.

MAGA has a hardon for cruelty. They don’t want children who feel different to be self-accepting and they don’t want children to learn to accept others. They want to indoctrinate children to fear hate, and self-loathing. That’s the MAGA way.
