That statistic is about cocaine related deaths, not necessarily overdoses. Often with cocaine related deaths the user is taking multiple drugs at once, usually opiates, and often alcohol too, but it usually doesn’t get blamed.

This is also more a problem with prohibition then cocaine itself since people don’t know the dose of what there getting or adulterants. If it were legal like alcohol there would be far less deaths. Idk if you know this but there is a ceasefire right now. Canola(rapeseed) oil has an omega 6 to omega 3 ratio of about 2/1 which isn’t as bad as some of the other more problematic “seed oils” like corn and soybean oils which have a 50/1 or 5/1 respectively. So maybe just using canola oil is fine, maybe you’ll need more omega 3 to keep a balance, not quite sure as this seems to be a newer area of study surrounded by some diet culture moral panic.

For me I like to err on the side of adding more diverse foods to my diet as I think that’s a good rule of thumb, so i’m trying to add more omega 3.

We need to ban advertising for all addictive substances/activities. We’ve mostly come to terms with the fact that mixing addiction and marketing are horrible for public health when it comes to cigarettes. We need to extend that to gambling, alcohol, Marijuana, hell even sugary drinks.

Even ignoring the public health implications, it’s just cruel to recovering addicts. It must suck to see advertisements of attractive people having fun drinking beer if you’re a recovering alcoholic and are just trying to forget about it.

I think you’d probably need more than in an animal based diet since plant based fats and oils have way more omega 6 then animal based fats which can fuck up the balance.

A lot of time with these budget cuts some politician will come in and fire a bunch of people or a department, realize they actually do need that work done and then hire a contractor or a consultancy company to do the same work often for more . So the amount of people directly working for the federal government may be down but the amount of people who are working for the government through some middle man goes up to compensate.
